Towns, cities, and states all over the world are putting restrictions on short term rentals hosted on platforms like Airbnb and VRBO. Restrictions include taxes, fines, registries, and business license requirements. And it looks like whole countries might be looking at bans. The Federal Government in Canada is looking into short-term rental regulations. It is getting hard to see a good way forward for Airbnb as a company, and the hosts look like they will be dragged down as well. Can you see a bull case for Airbnb?
