What Inspired Don to Invest in Real Estate
Don heard an ad for the Investing in Real Estate Podcast on his long commute. He tuned into the show and became a regular listener. Don was able to learn a lot about investing on his 200-mile round-trip commute.

What really struck Don was an episode he heard about the shortcomings of the 401k. Many people are led to believe that a 401k is going to fund their retirement, but the numbers just don’t add up. Don decided that he had to create his own retirement plan with real estate investing.

Don's Journey From One Property to Fifteen
Don purchased his first rental property in Toledo, Ohio after obtaining business funding from his local bank. He vetted a great property management company in the area, and was able to collect $750 in monthly rent on a $40,000 investment. His property management company understood his goals and started sending him more properties to invest in.

After a few DIY projects, Don learned he could leverage his Roth IRA. He set up a call with Hayley on our team who helped him transfer his custodian and buy two rental properties in Lubbock, Texas.

What Happened When Don Visited Our Market in Lubbock, Texas
We always welcome our clients to come see our properties. Don made a trip out to Lubbock to visit his new investments and meet the team. He was very impressed with Kyndall and the team that manages everything in Lubbock.

He even took the time to check out the city and played a round of golf. Don liked Lubbock and found it to be a growing, booming city. Don plans to continue purchasing rental properties and his goal is to retire in two years.
