Capital gains tax hike will punish risk-taking and affect many Canadians

Because one of the arguments that I keep hearing my colleagues in the other party say is that, well, it's not fair that regular income earned through wages is taxed the same as earnings through capital gains. And there's a reason for that. And the Canadian, consecutive Canadian governments have always recognized. That reason is that we want people in our society to actually take risks and to be rewarded for those risks, not punished for taking them.
