Singapore Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) kicked off 2023 with a strong bullish start with January being its best performing month since 2020. The S-REITs index rose 6.6% month on month, even surpassing the STI that only saw a 3.5% month on month increase.
Despite the rising rate environment, REITs have steadily been an active sector among investors. Even institutional investors who were previously overall net sellers in the Singapore market year to date, have turned net buyers of S-REITs.
