Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) have been tanking over the past couple years. With the real estate market in turmoil, many investors have been fleeing these high yielding dividend stocks for fear of a downturn.
More many REITs, this sentiment is warranted. Many REITs have been cruising on low interest rates and shaky investment practices for too long. However, there are a few REITs caught up in the panic that have actually done very well since 2020 but still experienced massive price decline.
This price action has caused massive spikes in the dividend yield of some high quality real estate trusts and introduce a prime entry point for some investors.
