Why I don't Invest in REITs (the downsides of pretending to invest in real estate)

REITs are not the real estate investment that everyone makes them out to be. Low barrier to entry and no maintenance or broken toilets comes at a price - and that price is losing almost every benefit that traditional real estate investments provide. In this video, I cover the downsides of investing in REITs and why I have almost no investment in REITs personally. To be clear, I don't think REITs are a *bad* investment, just that there are other long term investments that are just as easy and will likely provide you with greater cumulative returns.
