ALX is an office and retail REIT that focuses on NYC. The two office NYC office REITs, SL Green (SLG) and Vornado Realty (VNO) just recently cut their dividend and we think that ALX is likely to follow their lead.

MDV has the following problems: its payout ratio is too high and it owns a lot of office buildings that it would like to sell to reinvest in industrial properties. This should be dilutive and could lead to a dividend cut.

BDN's payout ratio is too high and it will need to reinvest in its office properties to keep them desirable in the coming years.
