We need capital in this sector: Real estate analyst’s outlook on Canadian REITs

Matt Kornack, real estate equity research analyst at National Bank, joins BNN Bloomberg to discuss earnings and his outlook for Canadian REITs in various segments. He sees the senior living REITs showing the highest average return, and says office REITs are under pressure. Immigration and limited supply are boosting retail REITs. But he says this sector is sensitive to higher interest rates and needs a soft landing with lower rates to bounce back.
